“Governance” is the term used for the systems and processes concerned with ensuring the overall direction, effectiveness, supervision and accountability of an organisation. This Board of Trustees has ultimate legal responsibility to provide governance for Herts Aid, which includes providing strategy, policy matters and monitoring of efficiency and effectiveness.
Each “trustee” or member of the Board of Herts Aid, takes the role on a voluntary basis and has a portfolio detailing their particular are of responsibility and expertise, which ensures Herts Aid is run efficiently and within Charity Commission Guidelines.
